FAQ
Can the boat pick us up at another pier location?
Yes. Our hailing port is the KAILUA PIER, which is located in the heart of Kailua-Kona. We are provided with a limited number of “Special Use” permits that allow the boat to pick up and drop-off guests at other Harbors located within the State of Hawaii. These Special Use Permits are subject to approval by the proper State agency and require a vessel relocation fee. Can we bring our own food and beverages?
Private charter guests are allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages; however, due to permitting requirements guests are prohibited from bringing their own liquor on board. We also have an extensive food and beverage menu available for private charter guests and a private charter coordinators that can handle all the details, which is why most of our private charter guests prefer to let us coordinate all of those details so you can maximize your enjoyment on the water.
Our group has very specific dietary restrictions and/or food allergies. Can these be accommodated?
Yes. Our caterers regularly accommodate specific dietary restrictions and/or food allergies.
Our group has more than 38 guests. Are there any additional options available?
While our vessel’s capacity allows for a maximum of up to 38 guests, we regularly coordinate private charters with multiple boats to accomodate larger groups. Please contact our private charter team at privatecharter@konastyle.com for more details.
What are some of the things that I should consider when looking at which boat to book for a private charter?
There are a number of items to consider when looking at which boat to book for your private charter. What type of boat will you be chartering? What type of amenities does the boat provide? What are the food and beverage options? What type of guests will be joining you on the charter? What type of experience does the company have in servicing private charter? — These questions and more are all very important considerations that our private charter coordinators will walk you through during the booking process.
What are the key features of your vessel?
We are a 50 foot catamaran that is built for comfort. Approximately 1/3rd of our deck is covered with an open-air cabin that provides ample shade and sun. We have padded bench seating throughout the main cabin area, top-quality snorkel equipment, two marine heads (boat “restrooms”), surrounding sound stereo system, LED lighting, splash nets and our “grand staircase” that lowers directly into the water which makes for the easiest water entry/exit of any boat operating in Kona (no vertical ladders to climb). We made our name in the charter industry by providing top-of-the-line private charters that regularly exceed our guests’ expectations.
